Sometimes things don’t work out as planned. I received a suggestion for the CotW – Carnation Pink – you know, like the color in our favorite color crayon box – and I thought “No problem”. After all, I have a daughter and there should be plenty of light pink things around here. Turns out, I was wrong. I had forgotten that my daughter, we’ll call her Zanae because she likes that, is a big fan of purples and green with a side of bright blues and DARK pinks. It seems that the apple doesn’t really fall far from the tree since my wardrobe is mostly greens and purples with a few blues, browns and blacks. I was at a loss as to what to do with the request. I was determined to find something in that shade of pink, but where? I wandered around in my iPhoto library to see what I could find. There was a little bit of pink here and there (mostly flowers), but none were suitable. Then I happened upon a photo of my new box of crayons (yes, they are mine) and decided that this was going to have to work for now. So please notice the arrow. It’s pointing to Carnation Pink. That’s about as close to the color as I can get, I think.
Can I ask a HUGE favor of those of you who like pink a lot more than me? Would you be so kind as to post some pink photos on our Facebook page? That would be a big help!
